About this Study

The Leveling Up: Parenting project was guided by the following questions: What assets and strategies do low-income / non-dominant families use to successfully connect with out-of-school learning opportunities? Furthermore, can we amplify these practices to help connect low-income / non-dominant families to meaningful out-of-school learning opportunities in their area? We conducted a human centered design research process with 110 families in South and East Los Angeles and Orange County.
